Dr. CH (CPT) Evang. Martin Chijioke Nwosu is a devoted servant of God, a United States Army Chaplain, and the founder of the Joy of the Lord Ministry.

He became a believer in 1995, and in 1996 experienced a profound and life-transforming call into ministry through a divine encounter that set the course for his life’s mission. From that moment, he has remained committed to preaching the Gospel, mentoring believers, and serving God’s people.

Dr. Nwosu began his early formation within the Catholic Charismatic movement in Nigeria, where he was actively engaged in prayer ministry, discipleship, and spiritual mentorship. His passion for ministry continued to grow as his calling expanded beyond Nigeria.

In 2002, he relocated to the United States and enlisted in the United States Army. Over the course of more than two decades of faithful service, he has served in various capacities, including as a Chaplain, providing spiritual leadership and care to soldiers and their families. His military service has included multiple deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Poland, Germany, Belgium, and South Korea, where he has ministered in diverse and often challenging environments.

Dr. Nwosu has pursued extensive academic preparation to support his calling. He holds:

A Bachelor’s degree in Science (Psychology) from Phoenix University, Arizona. 

A Master of Divinity (M.Div.), from Regent University a Doctorate Degree in Ministry and Theology from Regent University

His ministry is marked by a deep commitment to prayer, biblical teaching, evangelism, and compassionate outreach.

He is the founder and leader of the Joy of the Lord Ministry, through which he continues to mentor believers, lead prayer initiatives, and organize outreach missions to orphanages, shelters, and underserved communities.

Beyond his professional and ministerial life, Dr. Evang. Nwosu is a devoted family man. He is married to his beloved wife, Ella Nwosu, and they are blessed with four children: Martin Jr., Emmanuela, Michael, and Mark. His family remains a vital source of strength, encouragement, and joy in his life and ministry.

Above all, Dr. Nwosu remains committed to faithfully serving God, caring for people, and advancing the Kingdom through both his military vocation and his ministry calling.
