1996
Evangelist Martin Chisimchere Nwosu was called to visit one of the Catholic Charismatic Prayer Group in Akatta Orlu, Imo State, Nigeria in 1996 for a Crusade. Five Ministers were chosen by the Holy Spirit to be trained and mentored as prayer Warriors in preparation for the Crusade. Shortly after the crusade, the LORD spoke to Martin again; “there are more people seeking my face, do not chase them away, I want you to accept them, train and mentor them, they are my sheep, for the joy of the Lord shall be your strength.” The Lord sent forth 30 people from different parts of the states in Nigeria. This ministry operated under the Catholic Charismatic Church, and with the help of Rev Fr. Zeph Uzoma, Rev Fr. Vincent Chidi Dike, Rev. and Fr. Patrick Ifeanyichukwu Nwokeogu. The LORD sent forth laborers into his vineyard. Evangelist Martin Nwosu believes God’s gifts and blessings upon us are mainly to serve his people, and to the glory of God, and not to man. Gospel of Matthew 5:8 says; “But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go, preach, saying; The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely you have received, freely give.” (NKJV). We pray the Divine Mercy Prayer, the Stations of the Cross, Deliverance, Liberation. We study the word of God (BIBLE) for the renewal of the Spirit.
2002
Evangelist Martin went to junior Seminary School in Nigeria, and never knew he had such calling to serve the Lord in a different level. In 2002 he traveled to the United States of America and joined the Army. As a young Soldier, he was still communicating with his ministers, and some of the priests mentioned above in Nigeria. While deployed to Iraq in 2006, the Lord sent five Soldiers and ministers as prayer partners; pastor Chris Jamison, Pastor Mark Beach, Pastor Thomas Mack, Brother Flanders, and Brother Antwon. They were always coming together in prayers and worship. Six of these brothers including Evangelist Martin resided in Killeen, Texas where they formed a ministry called; “Soul-Brothers Ministry.”
Evangelist Martin Nwosu in his career as a Soldier of United States Army, has deployed five times to Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Poland, and Germany. He has never stopped doing the work of God, even though his job as a soldier, a husband and a father demands a lot from him.
2016
In 2016, some people joined from Boston and California. We meet for prayers online on Fridays and fast every month. The Joy of the Lord Ministry (JLM), is a nondenominational, non-profit organization, under 501(c) 3 approved and registered in the State of Georgia, United States of America.
Nehemiah 8:10 KJV
Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
